Major Arcana

Inspiration

I used to own a deck of Tarot Cards. I never tried fortune telling, nor do I believe in that. But I liked the cards, specifically the cards of the Major Arcana. And I began to be inspired by the cards, coming up with stories loosely inspired by each one.

The stories

Major Arcana is a book of short stories, each one based (sometimes loosely, sometimes directly) on the respective card from the Major Arcana. One of the stories, The Devil, is a prequel to my novel The Long Watch. The stories cover a diverse range of topics and genres, from period detective story to science fiction, alternative history and gothic horror. A diverse range of stories, to match my diverse interests.

Current status

In progress. This is a companion project to The Long Watch, as writing short stories helps me take my mind of larger pieces of work.
