...not my own witterings, obviously, but those of a "literary agent" who doesn't have enough manuscripts sent to him during the day, so instead he spends his nights trawling the Creative Writing section of Gumtree (http://www.gumtree.com/london/5215_1.html) looking to send abuse to people (my personal favourite was "I'm not saying it's totally embarrassing...").

This is Envy - the second least popular piece of creative writing I've done. Ironic that Envy would provoke reactions that others have dismissed as envious... Hold on to your hats for next week, Lust is absolutely hated by some people...

Last podcast before NaNoWriMo! Wish me luck (and hope that I stay on target with my word count, otherwise there won't be a podcast next week).

Sigh...

Forget what I said in my last post - there will be NO podcasts until I get back. Despite intending to bring the microphone with me, I managed to forget it.

I've tried recording with the built-in microphone on my Powerbook, but it just picks up the sound of the cooling fans inside the computer, and the recording has this high-pitched whine that drowns out my own voice.

So, no podcast until Sunday 28 October when you will get to hear Envy. All being well, you should have Lust on 4 November, Greed on 11 November and Gluttony on 18 November. After that?

It will probably just be me bitching about NaNoWriMo until December - there probably won't be a podcast on 2 December, as I'll be in a post-NaNo stupor.

So on 9 December and 16 December you might get The Silent Hives and Redemption (or maybe something new, you lucky people...). However, on 23 December you'll get a special Christmas story. It is one of the short stories I'm working on for the Major Arcana short story collection, and it is a prequel to the novel I'm working on for NaNoWriMo. So mark your calendars, subscribe to the podcast, and I'll speak to you when I return!

Episode #003 - The wrath of Paul is mighty...

... his voice acting however is pretty weak. I did warn you - this one involves acting. Just be glad there are no female characters in this one!

Another week, another podcast, slightly delayed by the heartbreaking experience of being Scottish. Admittedly, we did as well as everyone expected we would - come second in our group, go out in the quarter finals. However, if we had remembered how to play rugby for the full 80 minutes, rather than the 20 we decided to show up for, and if we had not made two really crass errors, then it might be Scotland losing to South Africa in the semi-finals next week, not Argentina.

Sour grapes aside, congratulations to Argentina who played well with ferocious power and speed.

Finally, apologies to everyone who subscribes on iTunes. Not only did I not realise that my nice links wouldn't show up in the iTunes shownotes, but I've also spotted that because I use truncated Feedburner feeds, the shownotes cut out pretty quickly. Hopefully I've fixed that now.

I was aiming to have recorded the podcast already. Or at least to be in the process of recording it.

However, I am currently shredding my very last nerve on the Scotland v Argentina Rugby World Cup quarter-final match.

It is not fun being Scottish at times...
